Austrobaileyales

The Austrobaileyales include the Illiciaceae, represented by Illicium at left, as well as and Schisandraceae), Trimeniaceae, and Austrobaileya. Two species of Illicium are native to North America, including I. floridanum (left).

Studies on the reproductive biology of Illicium have been carried out in the Botany Department of the University of Toronto.
